Sharp but rough. Its called "rustic"?

I use carsprings (coils?) as the steel. So I canīt tell you the exact specs sadly...

Do you treat the steel with anything to prevent rust? or just clean them up and leave them as is?

I just clean them up with some fine sandpaper. Havenīt experimented with any sealent or similar. Seems to me that it wouldnīt help much anyways if the knife is in use.
